The bike must contain fuel (or bring extra fuel) for minimum 200 km.

All about the Finnskogen Gravel Event – “grenseløst grusmisbruk” 2021.

Perfect for gravel addicts with bikes that can do a minimum of 200 km before fuel!
3 days of touring in the heart of Gravel-land on the border of Sweden and Norway.
We arrange day trips on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Probably also a shorter tour on Monday.
Optional Off-road training Friday or Saturday.
The tours will be in both Sweden and Norway (Värmland and Hedmark counties).

We split into groups based on experience and riding skills. The main difference between groups will be speed and surface.

All tours will be lead by experienced guides.
Location:

Mattila, 68597 Östmark, Sweden
Tours will be in Hedmark and Värmland.

Program 2021:

The first arrival time is Thursday 19th of May from 15:00.
The latest time for arrival is 23:00.
No other official program or meals this day/evening.
The restaurant will be open for fast food, snacks, drinks, etc.
Training and competition track open from Thursday.

Friday:
Breakfast at in the restaurant or private from 07.30
Tours 09.30 – 17.00
Off-road training 09.30 – 17.00 (limited spots on the training course)
The training course also includes 2-3 hrs tour
Dinner in the restaurant or private from 18.30
Social mingle from 20.00

Saturday:
Breakfast in the restaurant or private from 07.30
Tours 11.00 – 18.00 (note the late tour start)
Off-road training 10.00 – 18.00 (limited spots on the training course) (note the late start)
The training course includes 2-3 hrs tour
Dinner at Mattila or private 18.30
Social mingle and hopefully a lecture from 20.00

Sunday:
Breakfast at Mattila or private from 07.30
Tours 09.30 – 17.00
Dinner at Mattila or private 18.30
Social mingle with a free lottery. Lots of prices!

Monday:
Breakfast in the restaurant from 07.30 or private
Guided tour 09.00 – 11.30
Departure after tour

Kilometers:
Approximately 220-250 per day. 2 half-day tours on Saturday and/or Sunday.
Offroad training tour app. 90 kilometers

Surface:
Gravel roads of various standard
Tracks and trails in the forest
Some parts on sandy surface

Level of riding:
You need some experience on gravel to join this party! We arrange gravel training camps in May 🙂
Note! The tours will not include hardcore offroad, but there will be several roads/trails that claim technical skills.

Accommodation:
Cabins or camping area for tent and campers
Early booking = best/newest cabins!

Total places:
Maximum 100 (riding groups are only 10 🙂

Prices:

NEW: No payment before March 2021. You pay the total amount in March 2020. You can cancel your place up to 1st of May 2020. You get your money back, except 1000 NOK by cancellation before the 1st of May. No refund after this date.
If we still have a Covid19 situation at this time, you will get a refund of your total payment, except the bank fee for foreign guests (100 NOK)

You arrive Thursday evening, we, unfortunately, offer no meals on arrival day, but the bar/restaurant is open (fast food, snacks, etc.)

You choose either camping (tent or camper) OR cabin
You choose either gravel touring OR gravel touring and gravel training
You choose either to make your own food OR you get all meals served every day from our lovely restaurant

Tour package:
Thu, Fri and Sat, 3 x amazing tours = 1900 NOK
Includes rescue service
Rescue service = we promise to pick up your bike from wherever you have a bike problem on our routes. The bike will be brought back to campus free of charge.

Training and tour package:
Off-road training Thursday OR Friday (incl tour) + 2 x stunning tours = 2450 NOK
This also includes a rescue service

Meal package:
Breakfast, lunch and dinner on Fri, Sat and Sun + breakfast Mon = 1600 NOK (Special price for you my friend :-))

Camping package:
Spot for tent = 900 NOK
Caravan or camper = 1100 NOK (incl electricity)
Note! Service rooms with WC and showers are available for tent and campers

Cabin package:
Bed in a cabin Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat = 1800 NOK

All booking is via this website and in advance – no booking directly to Mattila!

All accommodation and meals must be booked in advance!

Riding suit and helmet
Off-road boots

Cloth for cleaning the helmet during riding
